Presentation of the “One More Step Toward Dignified Aging” Project and Continuing Medical Education Course Held in Telavi
On July 13–14, 2026, the “One More Step Toward Dignified Aging (Supporting the Development of a National Dementia Program)” project was presented at Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University. The project is funded by the State Grants Management Agency.
Following the project presentation, a two-day Continuing Medical Education (CME) module entitled “Dignified Aging: Cognitive Health and Dementia Management” was conducted. The module was led by Professor David Gigineishvili and Professor Nino Okribelashvili.
The educational program covered key topics related to cognitive health, the early recognition of dementia, diagnosis, and contemporary approaches to dementia management. The module was attended by neurologists, psychiatrists, and family physicians.
The event aimed to enhance healthcare professionals’ knowledge of dementia, promote evidence-based clinical practice, and strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration in dementia care.
