On July 3–4, 2026, the project “One More Step Toward Dignified Aging (Supporting the Development of a National Dementia Program)” was presented at the Faculty of Medicine of Akaki Tsereteli State University in Kutaisi. The project is funded by the State Grants Management Agency.

Following the project presentation, a two-day Continuing Medical Education (CME) module entitled “Dignified Aging: Cognitive Health and Dementia Management” was conducted. The module was led by Professor David Gigineishvili and Professor Nino Okribelashvili.

The two-day educational program addressed key topics related to cognitive health, the early recognition of dementia, diagnosis, and dementia management. The module was attended by neurologists, psychiatrists, and family physicians.

The event aimed to enhance professional knowledge of dementia, share contemporary clinical approaches, and strengthen collaboration among physicians from different medical specialties.
