Discussion of the Conceptual Framework of the National Dementia Program Held at the Alexander Natishvili Institute of Morphology

On May 15, the Alexander Natishvili Institute of Morphology hosted a working meeting to discuss the draft conceptual framework of the National Dementia Program – “One More Step Toward Dignified Aging.”

The event brought together psychiatrists, neurologists, specialists in geriatric medicine, members of the Memory Café, and other individuals interested in the topic.

The meeting featured presentations by Professor David Gigineishvili and Assistant Professor Lika Svanadze. The discussion also included valuable contributions from Professor Nino Okribelashvili and Professor Dimitri Kordzaia, who shared their perspectives and recommendations with the participants.

During the meeting, participants discussed the objectives, priorities, and future directions of the National Dementia Program. Attendees had the opportunity to review the draft conceptual framework and provide comments, suggestions, and recommendations for its further development.

This initiative is being implemented by the A. Zurabashvili Society of Georgian Psychiatrists with the support of the LEPL State Grants Management Agency.
